Sutton Ross said: "Laura is wildly talented and absolutely gorgeous. That's a big reason she was on Broadway for so many years and was chosen to takeover for Kelli in South Pacific at only 23 and absolutelykilledit. Yes, she was a star. I adored Laura and saw everything she was in. And yes, both Laura and Corey were great in Bandstand, and the show should have gotten more attention. These are not controversial statements.
"Agree with you 100%."
But, she f*cked up badly. She went against basically everyone in the Broadway community during Covid. Obviously, emotions were very heightened at that time but facing backlash, she simply ran away to Tennessee and never came back. Like a coward. It's not a coincidenceshe moved to a red state.Tennessee has some of the most horrifyingLGBTQ+ laws in America, and lacks statewide anti-discrimination protections for housing, employment, public accommodations, you name it.It's odd a person who lived and worked in the theater community in New York City with tons of other theater professionals(many of which are LGBTQ+), would want to buy a house and pay taxes in a state that tries to eliminate the Rainbow Community. I am not a part of that beautifulcommunity, but I would neversupport a state that wants to erase my friends and family like they don'tmatter andshouldn't have the same protections as everyone else. That is fundamentally wrong and completely abhorrent.
"At that time, it was considered very dangerous for yourself and others if you did not get the vaccine. Her reason for not getting the vaccine was not medically sound. Have no idea who her doctor was but he/she was wrong with advice given her. By not getting vaccine, she was fired from a couple of jobs at the very least. In other words, she never hurt anyone by giving them COVID. In retrospect, let's review a couple of things. The vaccine did not prevent you from getting COVID (I got COVID with vaccine and booster). It did not stop you from transmitting it to other people. The harm of not getting the vaccine was to yourself because the main benefit was lessening the symptoms of COVID. "
"Why did she move to Tennessee? I would guess it was because she could get work there and we all have bills to pay. Maybe it was because they have no state income taxes. Maybe her and her husband like the weather compared to NY. I would also bet before the move she was not checking the laws of the state in regard to the LGBTQ+ community. You may think that is wrong, but I would bet I am correct. You have your opinion for not liking Tennessee and you are not going to get argument from me. I will point out Laura Osnes lives in Nashville which is a progressive city in a conservative state".
She is not welcome back to New York since she exposed herself as a huge fan of a Sociopathic Child Rapist. She shook hands with that "man". She smiled at that "man". She thanked that "man" for inviting her. She performed for that "man". All intentionally. While her creepy husband beamed with pride. Gross.
"She also performed at Kennedy Center honors when President Obama and President Biden were President. I will provide clip of 2021 performance for Dick Van Dyke which had to be done differently due to COVID. (see link below). She was not vaccinated but was allowed to perform due to being tested for COVID and obeying other rules put in place. All of the things you mentioned were probably her being polite. You could dislike somebody very much but in a public setting you try to be nice even if the person is not worthy of it. Remember, she is an actress and can easily fake liking somebody in that setting. I know absolutely nothing about her husband so I will not judge whether he is creepy.
It's a good thing the Broadway community is full of gorgeous and talented women who aren't problematic or support rapists. Laura was forgotten on Broadway a long time ago."
"Yes, it is nice Broadway always has a supply of talented and beautiful woman. "
One last thing. Recently, the baseball team (Los Angeles Dodgers) were invited to the White House to honor them winning the 2025 World Series. Over 25 players (including Japanese superstar Shohei Ohtani) , coaches and manager went and shook hands with Trump and smiled in pictures with him. They also gave Trump gifts and not just the standard uniform jersey. They also gave him a championship ring. My question to you is do you condemn the Los Angeles Dodgers baseball team for smiling at "that man", shaking hands with "that man" and thanking "that man" for the invitation.
