i play jigallo and little sally walker :) i drink tons of water and tea and do scales and breath teqniques and like Lorings said, nyahs and mas and stuff like that, i used a spray, and i dont remember what its called, but it sucks, it comes in a brown bottle and its flavored honey and tea, it doesnt really work for me, so if you use a spray, i would go with the one lorings suggested.. lots of stacattos, sirens, pretty much everything everyone has already mentioned. i also do riffs, they're reall

even tho im young, my voice is particularly belty, and it used to be very soprano-y, and personally, i just find it more comfertable, and if its done right and you dont into screaming, which personally i think some people kill, it sounds wicked awsome, i just think it all depends on how it is done, but then again, i bawled in phantom when christine sang soprano, so you never know, i could just be out of my mind :)

re: Les Misérables: There will never be anything better....

it definately is my favorite, i was in it about a year and a half ago, and i might be in it again this summer *keep your fingers crossed!* and i have never seen anything better than that musical, phantom of the opera is close, but les mis is def. the best, it was so hard to be in because the music is so awsome, and when we sounded good, it was hard not to cry! so pretty!

i was in a dress rehersal for les mis one year and during "master of the house" i was supposed to stand and dance on a chair, and when i got up on it, i totally lost my ballance, so i not only flew off the chair, i grabbed one of my friends on the way down and the two of us landed with the chair with a loud crash. once again, thank god it was only a dressrehersal!
the book: making it on broadway

if it is the feild you are going into, it is always wise to know what you are getting into, b/c if you dont like what you hear, maybe it isnt sucj a good idea to get into, it all depends on how you look at it, but if you love it enough, and if you want it bad enough and have the talent for it, then nothing, not even a book should hold you back, but i do get what you are saying, it is hard to read the bad sides of the things you love to do
