common grounds NYMF
 Sep 29 2006, 12:11:05 PM
Kudos to the cast and creative team of COMMON GROUNDS for
a truly extraordinary evening. A production commissioned by the festival set to dance. The performers were breath-taking, the
choreography aggressive and powerful. Mayumi Miguel and Kurt were just brilliant! The piece was put together with such short notice, but I hope it receives the attention it deserves so that it may be further developed. Ron Dejesus...wow! Watch out for this choreographer...great things await you.

You all know that i was hit with a bad cold this weekend, was

as I began the show that my chords were swelling, and I couldn't
sing or even speak my lines without extreme pain. Moreover, if I continued

re: Christian Borle needs to be in another show
 Nov 5 2004, 11:08:23 PM
Christian is one of those unique performers who play a myriad
of roles and makes look too easy.
I had the good fortune of playing along side of him in
a reading, and he's nothing but a real pro and a HOOT to
boot.
I echo your sentiments wholeheartedly, and his
girl aint bad either!!!

Hey Dottie.
We just finished a successful mounting of NOTH last
week. And although the show is still in it's tweaking
process. The show has garnished alot of attention from
other regional theaters. The goal is to keep developing
this work, and eventually bring it to NYC.
Keep a look out...cuz it's coming!!!

Your posting should be a commercial for the show!!!
NOTH is certainly gaining alot of momentum and another
great review from Talkin' Broadway came out today.
Even tho the show is still in it's tweaking stages,
I still feel incredibly lucky to be involved in something
with so much promise, and completely off=the=beaten path
of your conventional musical.

Hey Jon.
Thanks for your posting....isn't that Pearl a
great little actress...Believe me, no one feels
worse than i do during that....well....evil scene!!!
Her name is Julia Franks.
Secondly, I totally agree with you about the score...
Claibe Richardson wrote an amazing score that propels the
story so well.
If you come back, stop by and say HI!

Hi this is Brian Noonan...and I am currently playing the Preacher in the world premier of Night of the Hunter in San Fransisco. It is indeed a musical based on the 1955 movie with
Mitchum and Winters.
This is a new, off the beaten path musical that has a lush score
and a Kleban award winning book and lyrics by Stephen Cole.
The music is written by the late Claibe Richardson of The Grass Harp. It is very exciting to be a part of something as new and as provacative as this piec

Hi room.
This is Brian Noonan...The Preacher in Stephen Cole and
Claibe Richardson's Night of the Hunter. I just wanted to
write in and encourage theater audiences to see this new
kind of musical that is very much off the beaten path of
your conventional Broadway Musical. I feel incredibly
fortunate to sing this lush score and amazing book, and
to be a part of another production with the amazingly talented
Stephen Cole. I would love to hear back from audiences
who have the seen the show and hope to see it.
Thanks,
Brian Noonan
