AMERICAN PSYCHO Previews

For those who have seen the show, or have been to Schoenfeld theater before, how is the seating? For center orchestra, would row B/C be too close? Would row G be better? Or would row K (at $80 cheaper) be just as good? Any input is appreciated, thanks!

Haha okay...thanks for the wonderfully insightful advice that helps no one! I will do what I want. And no, it's not your fault, but to imply that we are dumb for not buying earlier tickets to a show we haven't heard of is kind of childish. Here&

Well, as crazy as it sounds, perhaps I hadn't even heard of this show until...i don't know...last month when I heard about it on the Grammys. Yeah, I sure would

I'm in the same boat, heading to NY in Sept. All of the shows are sold out so the only options are to buy through resale vendor or try to find something on Craigslist closer to the date...or the cancellation line/lottery the day of. So if you definitely want to see it and not worry about scavenging for tickets when you get there, you will probably have to spend a pretty penny.... For those saying you would not spend more than 200-300 for tickets (300 only if they are great seats with

Drama mama, I understand what you mean and I generally agree but not everyone shares the same belief...For instance, would you pay more to see the show with the original cast? Of course you would...so with that thought in mind, if the show does not have the original cast, one would think the price would go down. That may or may not happen, but that is the rationale behind my thinking.

Pasunepomme, I share the same thoughts as you on this. I am hoping they can convince/extend the contracts of some of the big names to stay through the end of 2016, but like you said if other major opportunities come up it might be too hard to keep them. But nonetheless, this is Broadway and pretty much anyone who takes over should be great, but seeing the original cast is always preferred since they are the ones you listen to on the soundtrack.

Macnyc, yeah I'm looking

Once again, thanks! I think the row E seats will be just fine!

However, on a separate but related subject, I got scoffed at for thinking the ticket prices might go down in the next couple of months. Yes I know the tony awards are coming up and Hamilton should take home some awards making it even more popular, but I'm looking at tickets to a show in September. Would you think that news of certain actors/actresses not coming back to their roles after their contracts

Wow, thanks so much Pasunepomme! That is great info! Now, could you see any of this going on from your row E seats, or did you just remember from your previous viewings in the other seats? Either way, like you said, it is pretty minimal, but would you say more important action occurs on the stage right balcony?

One more quick question for those who have seen the show....does much action take place up on the balcony on stage? Specifically stage left? Thanks!

Oh wow! Thanks Pasunepomme! That explanation/description along with the picture really helps!  I love the idea of being up close but was mainly worried that we wouldn't get the full experience of the show being further to the side, but your comments really have reassured me that Row E might be the best choice! Thanks again!

Thanks Macnyc for your reply...

Yes, I do have some choices (for now) mainly because I'm looking for tickets in September(over 6 months from now). I'm just trying to get as many opinions as possible before spending $1000 on 2 tickets to a show. I really want to see the show, so I'm obviously willing to fork over that sum, but like with everything else, I try to do my research and find the best option available within my means. And I feel like the best wealth of knowledg

What about Side Orch Row E seats 10&12?
I just saw these and am wondering if they would be obstructed view at all?

Compared to my other 2 options:
C-Orch Row Q 106&107 or F-Mezz Row B 6&8?

Which would be "the best" seats? Thanks!

Thanks macnyc for your input....funny thing is in the other thread I asked this question the lone reply I got was that the front mezz seats would be better. I guess people will always have different opinions. I wish I could just see for myself which I liked better before paying so much but being from Texas makes that pretty difficult.

Thanks again for the reply!

I posted in another thread but wanted to try to get a few more opinions so I'm posting here...

I found a couple pairs of tickets and can't decide which would be better. I have never been to this theater and have tried to look up views to get an idea and it's hard to tell on aviewfrommyseat so I figured to ask some people who may have already been which seats they would choose:
A) Tuesday Night, Front Mezz Side, Row B, Seats 6&8
B) Wednesday Matinee, O

Honestly, the first I had heard about this musical was a few weeks ago when I saw the Grammys performance. I got the sound track and thought it was great. Only then did I start to look at ticket prices and they are just insane. I thought perhaps this was due to the recent popularity the show had garnered by being on the Grammys and thought the hype might die down between now and the Tony awards where I figured the hype would then spike again. I am now beginning to see that this isnt some

Yeah, I know the Tony Awards are coming in a few months and will probably drive prices higher if Hamilton wins best musical. I just didn't know if they might drop some over the next few months prior to the awards.

And thanks for your seat suggestion...any specific reason you would choose those seats over the others?

Hi, I am new here and had a couple questions but figured they have been asked before, so I didn't want to start a new thread and since it mainly has to deal with seating I chose this thread...

1. I am looking at buying tickets for a trip I'm taking in September. Yeah, over half a year from now but ticket prices and the popularity of this show have me kinda worried. So do you think I should buy now, or do you think prices would drop over the next several months...or potenti
