Lloyd Webber's Best Work?
 Nov 13 2016, 03:09:59 PM

While I've never seen it live, I'm quite partial to Song and Dance (act one, at least). I find it to be one of his best scores both musically and theatrically. Bernadette Peters performance on the album takes my breath away every time I listen to it.

Ive tried every outlet with my 6 member ID and its popped up as an error every time. Called them and said I have to wait until monday to speak to someone about Linctix. While I understand ticketing errors happen, I'm not very happy at the current moment...

Dear Evan Hansen in person under 30/student Rush
 May 21 2016, 05:14:17 PM

I haven't done it for myself, but I've walked there to meet a friend in line. For an 8:00 show, the box office told her to get there at 6:00 (they sell an hour before the show), and when she got in line, there were about 15 people in front of her, and they ended up selling 8 tickets. Another time I walked past about 11:30 for a 2:00 show, and there were at least 10 people in line. Seems like you'd need to get in line at least three hours prior to the show in order to be safe.

Who deserved it more?

Having seen both Raul Espaza in Company and David Hyde Pierce in Curtains, it was a true shame that Esparza did not win the award that year.

Crucible Rush?
 Mar 7 2016, 01:31:19 PM

Has anyone tried rush for this production (in-person, not the digital lotto)?? I'm wondering if you have to get there at 10:00 am/where the seats would be located-- any info would be appreciated.

Crazy- I was just thinking yesterday how much I loved his performance and direction for Earnest. He will be missed.

The Secret Garden 2016 Concert Presentation
 Jan 12 2016, 01:01:05 PM

I will be in attendance for the concert on Sunday night. I have no prior Secret Garden knowledge... score, or even the plot itself. Would anyone there last night recommend I look any of it up prior to seeing the concert? I really don't have a preference about going into shows blind or not, but I want to make sure I'm not lost during the performance.

SPRING AWAKENING revival failing at box office
 Dec 12 2015, 11:33:31 AM

For those who were curious-- last night at the lotto, thanks to a donation from Jamie Grayson (@TheBabyGuyNYC on twitter), they gave away 40 tickets, for free. In addition to this already amazing lotto, they announced that as a way to honor and celebrate the donation, Davenport decided to offer every single person at the lotto a ticket to the performance, for the lotto price of $35. Not only was it the largest lotto I've seen, most people took the offer and the house was packed (I was pla

Is KELLI O'HARA missing a lot of performances?
 Oct 24 2015, 12:00:22 AM

Anyone know if Kelli was in on Friday? I want to rush the show tomorrow, but don't want to see it if Kelli will be out.

Hamilton Lottery
 Feb 20 2015, 03:59:49 PM
I've tried the in person lotto a few times (won once-- on my first try), and each time they've had 10 or 11 tickets. First three names called are in the front row (I was third name called when I won, got front row all the way house left, and my friends another time were also third name called and in the same seats). About 100 people each time I've gone.

The show is absolutely incredible. Of the aprox. 150 shows I've seen in New York City, this one takes the cake. I wish all of you tryi

A Winters Tale
 Sep 5 2014, 11:46:14 AM
Anyone planning on going to A Winter's Tale at the Delacorte this weekend?I'd love to hear thoughts from those going tonight. Also, what do you think would be an appropriate time to line up for tickets to this?

Advice on what shows to rush/buy in advance
 Jul 19 2014, 06:58:45 PM
Since you are in college, you can sign up for Tixs4Students. Its $5 to join (for a years membership), but If/Then and Gentelmans Guide are on the website. Tickets for most shows via this website tend to be in the rear mezz/balcony, but you can buy them in advance (2 tickets), and the service charges are included in the very cheap price. Highly recommended if you're on a budget, and if you don't care where you sit.
Heathers Cast Recording Set for June 16th physical release with iTunes release shortly before!
 Jun 11 2014, 02:35:22 PM
I saw the new JD and Heather at their first performance Monday night. Didn't know it was their first show until after. Both of them are very good. I found Ryan McCartan (the original JD)to be a bit more creepy than Dave Thomas Brown, but he was very, very good and has a great set of pipes. Loved the show both times I saw it, and can't stop listening to this great album.

I'm seeing the show in the rear mezz tonight. For anyone who has sat up there before, how is the sound quality? I remember seeing Drood up there, and most of the lyrics unfortunately were drowned out up there. Hoping the same thing does not happen tonight.

Has anyone tried Standing Room for this yet? Anyone know if the line forms after the lottery, before?
Bridges, Alladin, or Rocky?
 Feb 12 2014, 10:06:31 PM
Bridges reminded me a lot of The Light in the Piazza, in terms of music. It was, for the most part and in my humble opinion, extremely beautiful; using a lot of strings in the orchestrations, Kelli's soprano range, ect. However, it is similar to Once in that the plot is extremely simple. It was the kind of show that focused on the characters in their situation as opposed to being a very plot-based musical, if that makes any sense.

I would look on youtube for promo videos, which offer s
