But WestVillage, how do you REALLY feel? I enjoyed the production but would have tweaked a few things. Ah, to have seen Angela in the '66 run :)

But - back to our reguarly scheduled programming ... i take it that those who saw it thought was a good production? I know that Baranski got dinged a bit in early reviews as not really owning the role, but then again she apparently didn't have much time to ease into it.

It is nice to see the Kennedy Center continuing to develop quality shows. I loved the Sondheim celebration a few years ago. I also look forward to seeing Assassins here at the Signature.

I'm respectful when dealing with my elders. My favorite part of the evening was when he said I looked young. I'll be his biggest fan FOREVER!!!!!

Amanda Poulson was a really fabulous Cathy - there are clips of her singing on their web site (http://www.fourseasonstheatre.com/). She sang the heck out of Climbing Uphill. Bway was really fabulous - a really engaging Jamie with amazing energy and a voice that really filled the house. His Schmuel song was great - I hope they recorded it for posterity. The orchestra really kicked butt and made it just the perfect evening (despite the torrential downpour). Sharing fondue with bway and the four seasons folks only made the evening more perfect! I'm hoping I won't have to travel quite so far to see Mr. Singer's next show ...

The Last Five Years Nov 6

Last night I saw the most amazing production of The Last Five Years starring our own bwaysinger. Needless to say, he brought a lot of NYC talent to Madison, Wisconsin and left 'em begging for more. You still have time to hop the shuttle and make his matinee performance...

Marcia Cross looks pretty, though the dress looks sort of like it was the one Sissy Spacek wore in Carrie after the pig blood was dropped on her....

The Kennedy Center did a revival as part of their Sondheim festival a few years ago, and while I've always loved the OBC album, they really did a wonderful job of putting it together (ha) on stage. It is a tough one to pull off, but when done well, it really sings.
