I'm planning to audition for a community theatre production of Beauty and the Beast, as well as a High School production of The Music Man. What would be a good, but short Broadway audition song for an alto female range?

It's more on the process of getting a show on broadway writing, auditions etc...those are shows that im using for background music for the information.

They have to be typical...its a powerpoint presentation on Broadway...I have to make sure that even the slackers in my Drama I class can recognize the songs.

I need an opinion. Im doing a project on Broadway for my drama class and I need ideas for background music for my power point presentation...Im focusing on: The Sound of Music, Chicago, and Jesus Christ Superstar...what would be a good song that most anyone would recognize from these three musicals???
