Miss Saigon on Broadway - Closed on January 28, 2001
 Feb 23 2011, 03:56:36 AM
So I'm like a month late on this post... don't know how I overlooked it.

As an alumni of the Broadway cast, I'm going to be totally biased and say that Miss Saigon is my favorite show. My brother and I were Tam; him from 91-92 and I from 93-95. Being at the 4,000th and closing performances was like going to a really big family reunion. I can't believe that was 10 years ago!

Again, I'm going to be totally biased when I say that my favorite actors/actresses are the ones that I wo

nomdeplume, you have to admit that was pretty funny though.

It would have been cute if Alex Ko from BILLY ELLIOT got up and sang "A Whole New World" with her.

Hahahaha "Victor Garber + Whoopi Goldberg = Paolo Montalban?"

Like how the 1994 Carousel Revival cast sent shock waves through the audience when Tam came skipping out behind Enoch and the rest of the Snow children.

Matthew Dickens, an African-American, also understudied Chris in the Broadway production of Miss Saigon.

Jane and Michael Banks were played by Cassady Leonard and Neil McCaffery...saw both of them when I saw the show and they were SO ADORABLE!

No one ever gave Zach Rand any credit for his portrayal of Gavroche on any of these message boards...I thought he was pretty good!

Mattbrain...were you in Miss Saigon? I know I wasn't the only Tam who ACCIDENTALLY peed on stage during "I'd Give My Life for You" or in the bed during "Please"

BRIAN D'ADDARIO singing "She's In Love" was AMAZING! He was also great in Les Miz!

And HAHAHAHA I can't believe someone actually mentioned "all the little Asian kids that played Tam in Miss Saigon!" We had no lines! I never thought that people noticed it took a lot of talent to wipe away a sweaty kiss and still look cute while peeing on stage. Well, I guess we did good!

SporkGoddesss ->>>>> HAHAHAHAHA KEITH BURNS!!!

Anywho...Yancey Arias actually started out in the ensemble and an understudy for Thuy, which he eventually took over the lead role 4 out of the 6 years he was in the show. Really nice guy and I thought he was great...despite the fact that I was terrified of him sometimes.

HometownGlory...

Yeah I've seen that video and I understand and agree that it's a shame she doesn't come out. I just get really annoyed when some of them do come out of the stage door and totally blow off the kids. These kids get all excited waiting for the actors to come out...and for what...just to get ignored. I've heard several complaints about certain people and I have had that experience myself. UGH!!! It makes me sad for those little kids lol.

I've heard of people sendi

I still need:
SIERRA BOGGESS
TREVOR BRAUN

"that show will hold a very special place in my heart"

I think anyone who's been involved with this show feels the same way...I know I do!

I've been asked that question hundreds of times Colle lol...

My older brother was in the show before I was. I started the show a couple of months before my 4th birthday and even though we listened to the music all the time at home and I knew the entire show word for word , let's face it I was 3 had no clue what any of it meant. But I was in the show for 2 years so as I got older I started to understand it a little bit more. Because we were at such a young age they didn't really go into
