HELLO ALL Just remembered a lovely memory and thought i would share with you all. went to see Three Sisters at the Queens Theatre, London 1990, Vanessa Redgrave, Lynn Redgrave and Jemma Redgrave, i absolutely love Vanessa....there was a scene with Jemma as Irena carrying a lamp, with a huge glass top, lit candle inside.she stumbled and the lamp fell and smashed, Jemma looked horrified, Vanessa casually walked off stage and collected a broom, she basically waltzed with the broom sweeping

I saw Patti 3 times at the Adelphi theatre and loved her Norma, she sang it wonderfully, her interpretion was amazing.Kevin Anderson was a great Joe , Patti is such a unique talent.to be able to act and sing in such a powerful manner, Who will ever forget in London how Fantine was dragged across the stage by Javert's truncheon, she just broke my heart. Forgive me please but there are too many Patti knockers on this board, accept the talent, accept the 2 Tonys, the Laurence Olivier Award,

Liverpool back drop, Mrs Johnstone 'Tell me its not true, Say its just a story'....the sinister narrator. 'So did you hear the story of the johnstone twins........ Wonderful....especially the late brilliant Stephanie Lawrence.

Still paying off the loan seeing Patti on Broadway, she totally blew me away, so GLAD she got to play the role, won the Tony,I am saddened by the anti Patti notices on this board, I appreciate 'each to their own' but come on, this woman lives.breathes, throttles this role, and such a great supporting cast. PATTI ROCKS , come to london pronto X

I was very lucky to have see Patti three times as Norma and was entranced by her performance, a powerhouse performance which received extremely good notices from the UK press, the only negative was that many thought she was too good looking as Norma and could see why Joe would be captivated by her. We have been so fortunate here in the UK to have seen Patti in The Cradle will Rock, Les Mis,Sunset, At the Donmar and Masterclass and I so hope Gypsy. Her time in Sunset was a very bad exp

firstly in reply Philip Quast is an Australian who in the West End has been in Les Mis, Hunting of the Snark, The Fix, The Secret Garden Sunday in the Park. and La Cage. secondly what i meant and I mean for me personally, someone, who isin't a belter. but someone who sings beautifully, who captures the words and has that lilt, that dream like quality. Another who always did it for me is the irish performer Siobhan McCarthy, original Svetlana in London Chess, just a gorgeous voi

re: Is Lupone Tony Bound? Apr 9

I really hope Patti gets it, she's a grafter, she has had a remarkable career, times of sheer brilliance and some serious setbacks, the second TONY would mean everything. In Gypsy she triumphs, this is a career defining role. She gives everything on that St James stage. And the audience soaks it up, I hope the Tony panel are blown away. I was....
