Didn't it tour for a while? I know some of the tour got canceled (including Schenectady, where I was really hoping to see it...), but maybe all of it did. Anyways, it's a modern re-telling of the Gospel story. For example, it takes place in Bethlehem, PA. I enjoy the music - some of it is on the edgier side, though. Give it a listen, it's not bad!

I'm not sure which made me cringe more. His performance or seeing hands waving in the air during memory...

re: Blast worth seeing? Mar 18

I just saw Blast on Sunday and thoroughly enjoyed it! I agree with Becky, though, I think you should have some interest in this type of genre to enjoy the show. My only complaint with the performance was there were a couple of times when it was "look at what this solo performer can do" show off type stuff - and I thought it was very obnoxious. But other than that, a very different and enjoyable theatrical experience!

From undented.com: "Tori will be spending the next few years working on various projects, chiefly the musical "The Light Princess" which is expected to premiere on the London stage in 2009." Can't wait, she is my favorite!

A little off-topic, but for anyone who feels underwhelmed with the broadway production in general, I highly recommend checking out the national tour. I just saw it Wednesday night and the amount of heart and soul everyone was putting into it was quite refreshing. 100 times more satisfying than what's at the Nederlander.

I've been working on "I'll Be Here" from The Wild Party and that's a very comfortable range. Highest note is a D, I believe.

It says Michael Arden sang The River. Is this the song done by Joni Mitchell? One of my new favorites....

I've been having difficulty accessing the tour site for Rent, but am remembering that it's coming to New Haven, CT, correct? Could someone please inform me of the dates and the theater it will be at? Thanks in advance!
