re: Grey Gardens - why was Sara replaced?

She is tall (5'11) but how tall is Christine Ebersole?

Jeeze, there are so many topics about this.

I think Sara is amazing, but I've never seen her in the role or Erin so I really can't say anything comparing them besides this:

As much as I love Sara as a performer I don't think she looked the part as much as Erin does. On the CD I think she sounds amazing, but I can see why the producers didn't think she led up to Act 2 as well as she could have.

PS. This topic is getting even more mean...

Spelling Bee Tour 1.27.07
 Jan 28 2007, 12:56:16 PM
So a bunch of my friends and I bought tickets to the 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee because when we went to the Colorado Thespian Convention my friend Trevor got an award for singing 'I'm Not That Smart." Granted because we're all student our seats were the second to last row in the 2nd Balcony.

So we got to the Temple Buell Theatre in Denver and Trevor and Erica tried to get in the show because it was Erica's B-day. Of course they didn't because we weren't in the Orchestra sea

I love how some people spell GettELfinger- Gettlefinger lol Anyways I think Sara would be amazing at the part.

There have been a few topics like this...

Some of the reasons could possibly be that she didn't et that great of reviews as Act 1 Little Edie and many people thought she was miss cast another is that she probably thought DRS would run longer. She's on the cast recording because it's probably cheaper to do an Off broadway recording.

"Sarah Gettelfinger would be fabulous."

*Sara

I agree! Sara would be amazing!

"Playbill.com's article spelled Sara's name wrong. (Sarah)."

lol Yeah I've seen her name spelled:
Sara Gettelfinger (which is right)
Sarah Gettelfinger
Sara Gettlefinger
Sarah Gettlefinger
and
Sarra Gettelfinger

As much as I love Sara, I really hope Erin Davie does a great job. At least Sara's on the cast recording, right?

Dirty Rotten Scoundrels was my first Broadway show ever. It was hilarious and def. deserved a longer run.

"Eden Espinosa"

That's not true. In her ask a star she said she did in Highschool.

NORBERT!
re: Michelle Federer
 Aug 16 2006, 04:02:33 PM
She was and as far as I know, she never went on. most people went to the show to see Julia and I'd imagine if she wasn't in it, they'd cancel the show
re: Michelle Federer

GClef2 - I agree! I don't think Sara gets enough recognition for her part in DRS because it's so small, but I think she would be awesome as Janet.

As for Michelle being typecasted, I'm not sure, but I think once you're in a role for that long in such a popular show it kinda gets stuck in your head that she's Nessa and Nessa just happens to cold. However I do hope she gets cast in something else that shows her range of emotions.

I've never seen Michelle dance so I'm not sure, but I think she's an amazing actress and singer. I'm not sure if she's right for the part though. I'd want to see her as Belle. BTW. It's Federer

re: Rachel DeBenedete in DRS
 Aug 14 2006, 10:05:42 PM
I saw it in May with her as a part of my first Broadway show and I thought she did well.

When she first came out I was like "woah" cause her hair was purple which was interesting. I thought she sang beautifully and acted well. I agree that she seemed a little young, but other then that she was good!

Seasons of Love

We sand it in choir and someone told me it was from a sitcom... lol

New-ish DRS Pro-Shots
 Aug 10 2006, 11:48:14 PM
I did see any other topic about this so:

There are some new photos of Sherie, Brian, Keith, and Lucie and some old ones of Sherie, Sara and Gregory up the Dirty Rotten Scoundrels website. I miss Norbert, but Brian looks the part. I wish they had one of him in the Ruprecht costume.
