Whateverman, how about you write a show for black actors instead of bitching about Disney. This same argument could go for Tarzan and Mary Poppins. Big whop.

Is it a play or musical? If it's a play, there isn't a reason for him to sing at the audition.

"I say skip the revivals and promote new and inovative musical theatre." As of right now, there are six revivals of 30 total shows. There's room for one more. It might as well be a good show instead of a mediocre one.

"I say skip the reality show and just revive WSS." That'll work too.

I did a manual search and didn't find it... But I only looked on the first four or five pages. It may be a reality show, but WSS is a far superior show. And we'd get to see Sondheim in public. I'm sure some very talented New Yorkers would've auditioned.

Instead of reviving GREASE!, West Side Story should've been revived... although I'm not sure what the title would've been. I'd rather seee WSS insted.

re: Who's NOT watching 'You're The One That I Want'? Jan 8

I'm quoting out of context, but, you get the point. "These shows are so pointless." Aren't ALL shows pointless? Not just American Idol, Survivor, etc, but Law and Order, Cold Case, CSI, the Simpsons, et al? I love American Idol, but I dunno if I'll watch Grease!: YTOTIW every week.

re: You're the one that I want..... UGH, but a question. Jan 8

I was wondering this too. With the AI winners, there's a tour (either solo or the group) and people don't have to travel as far. Ivan and I have already decided not to make a trip to see this, unless we're in NYC for a different reason. I believe the final prize should be leads in a TOUR of the show, hitting each major city. That way, it isn't any different than a regular tour.

times article regarding eating in the theatre Jan 5

*MINOR SPOILER* At Le Reve, the "Please turn off cell phone and no flash photography" is part of the show. There's a globe-thing in the center of the theatre and a baby is projected onto it (or something). In her little baby voice, she tells everyone that flashing lights could be harmful to the performers. I didn't hear any talking then.
