Lady Day rush?
 May 16 2014, 11:25:22 AM
They only have standing room when they're completely sold out. I've tried to get it a couple times, but the show has never sold out. :-/ The box office said it's likelier on weekends, though.
All the Way Rush

I rushed at the box office. We went around 6pm and got seats in the orchestra middle, probably around row R. They were totally great seats.

If you got there earlier, you might be able to get something closer, though.

Once - Is Rush Still Partial View?

The past two times I've rushed, I've gotten seats in a box, which are pretty partial. But the mezz hasn't been selling well, so you can move to better seats.

How sure are we that Sunday is a no-go? The chances of this being resolved in a day are slim to none, right?

There goes the SA onstage seats I've had for the past 2 months...

I agree with forgetregret - I love Natalie and would love to see her get a nomination, but I don't think it'll happen. I think the most likely to be nominated will be Jason Tam for featured actor and Jessica Lee Goldyn for featured actress. And I don't think this will win best revival. There's just too many this year and like people have said, this revival is pretty much a carbon copy of the original.

But it doesn't ever start on time, so it usually ends about 2hrs and 20 mins after the start time.

I know they change her name to Connie MacKenzie, but I have no idea what they do about the 4'10" and 'peanut on pointe' lines. I'd be interested to see...

Thank god they eliminated his character. I'm glad they're actually making improvements to the show.

And now I'm looking forward to seeing it again this weekend.

Yes, they got rid of Laura's "Things We Could Have Been" song in the beginning and they added a song thats called "let's order in" which is very cute. And basically wahts going on is it takes you back to when Laura first got her job and she is telling Rob. THEN it goes back to the present when shes like...I'm leaving Rob.

Thank god. That song was so boring and it sounded too much like "Wonderful Love."

For front row? I bought my ticket at the end of Sept. for Oct. 26th. My seat is row AA, 101.

I reluctantly paid full price for a front row, side orchestra seat for this coming Saturday. I hate lottos, especially coming from out of town, but it would be kind of hard to sell all the side seats as lotto if they already sold some of them for full price.

That's odd. I wonder which seats they're giving out as lotto then - I assumed they hadn't sold the side front row orch seats. I know they've been selling front row center orch because that's where my seat is. Hmm...

$556 total, or $556 for one seat?!

And I have a front row seat in the center section of the orch for 10/26, so I'm guessing these must be the front row orch seats on the sides.

Yes.

They did the same thing in San Francisco and that production ended up running for about 6 months.

Natalie can sing Maria - she played Maria. She's a soprano.

I would put the entire cast of ACL above the Wedding Singer in terms of dancing difficulty and stamina.

During the SF tryout, they were all backstage icing their shins after the shows and in a lot of pain. Chryssie Whitehead injured her neck, Nadine Isenegger injured her ankle (I believe) and was out pretty much the entire run, and they all had shin splints.

I think the amount of dancing (and dancing while singing) takes an incredible amount of energy.

EponineAmneris - I'm going to ACL on the 26th too!

And wow, I'm surprised Natalie was out and it's too bad you didn't get to see her. I'm glad you liked Jessica though... I thought she was great, despite the negative talk on the board.

I would love to see Natalie do Maria too.
re: High Fidelity changes?
 Oct 11 2006, 01:20:10 AM
I've seen it twice so far and haven't noticed any changes (although the first time I went was opening night... they may have made changes during previews).

However, they did fire Katy Mixon (Liz/Jackie) and moved up her stand-by, Rachel Stern. Rachel is fabulous in the role.
