Forbidden Broadway video: Behind the Mylar Curtain Aug 12
2008, 03:32:54 PM
With the Shrek picture of Brian D'arcy James coming out in USA Today, here's a video of green make up that doesn't take over 2 hours...in the current Forbidden Broadway: Dances with the Stars. An off-Broadway version of going green....like Elphaba, The Grinch, Shrek, and Frankenstein...but this one takes under 5 minutes. It's not that easy being green... video by Bill Selby

They both took "Ethel Merman roles" in film versions of her musicals. Dubarry was a Lady and Panama Hattie? Who did Hal Prince originally approach to write PARADE before Jason Robert Brown?

re: accident at wicked tonight Dec 14
2007, 12:28:02 PM
this is what happened. her hand was hit in a traffic accident by a spear/staff from one of the guards. it was badly injured and she was a total pro to finish the show. she was hurt and really crying audibly in sebastian's arms...leaving the show. she was in such pain, she did not take a bow. that's a first...well, a 2nd. maybe. what a pro to finish. shows can be so dangerous...good that such an accident wasn't any worse.

re: Frankenstein-When will it close? Nov 4
2007, 11:48:04 AM
I saw it. it's a bummer of a musical. If you paid $69.50, you may want to get your money back. Great cast/bad musical. 15 critics can't be wrong.

re: Anyone do the GREASE SRO? Aug 24
2007, 04:29:39 PM
i did...the first day...tuesday....i got there at 10:05...about 20 people in front of me in line buying tickets...i got the FINAL ticket. this was the first day after reviews, so take that for what it's worth. THEN i got two free house seats at curtain from a promoter. can't beat that ! they are $31.50 though..to STAND...and the show is pretty lame.

Norn, I can't tell you enough. You are amazing with a unique talent that amazes me. As a performer, I was upset that I could never strive, dream or hope to be drawn by Hirschfeld since he is gone I strive to be LUCKY enough to be interpreted by you. Your art is the future of Broadway commentary/charicature, artistic interpretation. Keep it up my man. Your work amazes me. (I met you at the Off Broadway CD signing of Grey Gardens. You were so nice in

I think Nancy Opel would be a GREAT Chaperone. She's brilliant, and if she can't do Grey Gardens...this is the role for her. That's all I'm saying.
