Jack and Diane
 Jan 19 2004, 11:40:01 PM
I just got in from Somethings Gotta Give with the wonderful Diane Keaton and Jack Nicholson. I know this is a "Broadway" board but I thought the acting was superb...and the script as well! They just worked so well off each other and Diane's crying fit was hysterical..sad...but funny too lol. I thought this movie was what romantic comedies should be like. Also, Keanu reeves was lookin mighty fine. Did anyone else enjoy this movie as much as I did?????

Unfortuantly plastic surgery will never totally get rid of a scar. May reduce it or smooth it out..but its pretty much impossible to get rid of it totally. I hear ya tho..scars definetly stink! Chin up tho! there are roles for everyone!

I will be 21 soon... consider myself an adult:) a 15 year old is a little different:) But I will say that as a reader I sometimes enjoy some cat fights..really big ones that are important...unlike this foolishness with a LSOH understudy..why do I open my big mouth??? lol ugh

I didn't think you to be snotty...I was also not offended. I did sense a little bluntness to ur response. I have seen numerous performances in new york and on tour and have always formed my own opinions. I happen to dislike Throughly Modern Millie..and a lot of people like it. I was not simply asking "how did you like the show" I was asking if anyone had seen any of the understudies and if so did they like them. I most likely will NOT see an understudy so the only thing I can gain is another p

The Broadway production with Natalie was in 1998 I believe. Also starring Linda Lavin.

omg he would be amazing as Link! I enjoyed Austin Miller's performance in the Hairspray tour but it is too bad Matt could not have originated Link for the tour. Would have been quite special.

I most def am going...have the tickets and everything. Just wanted to know what the current opinions that are out there are...JUST interested. Apparently you have no opinion on the matter Bwaytheatre11. DUH everyone elses opinions and tastes can be different and will be. That is what makes this board interesting correct??
LSOH Understudy
 Jan 7 2004, 09:04:03 PM
I will be seeing LSOH on Jan 17th(sat mat). Does anyone know if the understudies for Little Shop will most likely perform on a matinee? To anyones knowledge has Jon or Darren gone on for Hunter yet and if so are they worth seeing?:) Darren and Jon seem very easy on the eyes for Seymour but that can def be a good thing lol I am also interested to hear about Jessica Snow Wilson...hear she is quite good as Audrey...

LOL good one Mister Matt!

I do agree that Audra would be wonderful. I think Hugh Jackman is a great singer and great actor as well!! After seeing his Oklahoma performance and the praise he got for not only his singing voice but his character as well, I would LOVE to see him as Lancelot...VERY easy on the eyes and we know the acting and singing would be all set

YES! and I wish I saw Natalie Portman in the role! I believe her to be a wonderful actress and from what I remember she was well liked in the role. I do however remember the controversy about casting someone as beautiful as Natalie Portman in the role of Anne Frank...who wasnt exactly gorgeous like Natalie. Since we all know what Anne Frank looked like and this is in fact the story of how she spent those two years hidden away in an attic, there were many who thought it foolish to cast Natalie.

Don't even get me started on RUDE and STUPID audience members...grr... I recently atteneded the Les Miz tour in Boston and at the start of "at the end of the day" the ushers decided to let in about 20 late comers to the seats (their seats were in the first 4 rows of the orchestra). They were blocking half the damn view of everyone sitting behind them, talking, walking slow...ugh I almost felt like slapping someone. My freind that I was with said my face turned three shades of red from anger l

Liam I could def see as Arthur although I'm not quite sure of his singing voice. As much as I think Kerry is adorable I don't think she has the type of voice for Guenevere. Laura Benanti would be superb! I am also not quite sure if Natasha has a strong enough voice..remember Julie Andrews was the original. Usually it is more of an opera soprano although It also would be a good change to get a more belty voice
I believe the book to be wonderful. The firs

I would have to agree...her singing voice is not the best. In the Hairspray soundtrack there are several times where her voice goes flat..and thats on a recording! ugh. I mean it works for Tracy but from what I heard on Beautiful girl she isnt much of a singer in person either.
Rent tour OR Grease tour
 Dec 30 2003, 06:58:25 PM
well my very nice freinds gave me a sweet gift for XMAS. I can either go see the Grease tour with Frankie Avalon or the Rent tour. They said I can pick one....what does everyone suggest? I hate to ask the question but are either of these equity productions?? I saw the Rent tour a while back when it was equity but I believe it is not now. Anyone know how it is? Also, I was unable to catch the latest broadway revival of Grease..is this one close?? hmmmm decisions...
