New Poll: What Classic 80's Horror Film Do You Want To See On Broadway Next? Oct 29

Taz-- I like your Motel Hell idea. There could be a hoedown with the song "It Takes All Kinds of Critters to Make Farmer Vincent's Fritters!"

I vote for "Mother's Day"! With a ballad for Betty called "Mother's Love". I might put in a bid for "Chopping Mall". A big production number with the trio of robots!

Jerry Bock Memorial Jan 25
2011, 01:54:51 PM
I was there, sadly Ms. Cook was not present even though she was listed in the program. But the highlights were the recording of Jerry Bock singing "Sunrise Sunset", Harvey singing "If I were a Rich Man" and Kate Baldwin singing "Ice Cream". Overall it was a nice tribute to a great composer.

Swan Lake Question Oct 17
2010, 11:38:48 PM
I just saw it this evening, and while it would have been nice to have a live orchestra sound, it doesn't make the piece any less powerful! It was one of the most magnificent ballets I have seen! Go see it!

I saw both Part 1 and 2 yesterday and it was one of the most thrilling pieces of live theatre I have ever seen. It is truly an experience not to be missed!

BLoody Bloody Andrew Jackson $20 Ticket Line? Aug 23
2010, 12:17:15 PM
After picking up my tickets around 11:30ish, the line was shorter and only in front of the Golden Theatre. I suppose there are still tickets left. As I was about 200-250 in line I think. Worth a try!

The Barbara Cook Appreciation Thread Apr 4
2010, 11:08:49 AM
I just saw Sondheim on Sondheim yesterday and Barbara Cook really blew me away with her numbers. This was my second time seeing Ms. Cook perform and I am so grateful to have had the privilage to see her live. After seeing Ms. Cook the first time in 2004 I bought every recording I could get my hands on. She is the epitome of a Legend and she never disappoints. Her "Send in the Clowns" and "Beautiful" sent shivers down my spine and a few tears. I hope to see her again and

ALL ABOUT ME--2nd preview Feb 24
2010, 10:38:02 PM
I was a the show tonight as well, and went in with low expectations and I really enjoyed myself. Definitely will get better as the show progresses. The audience had a good time. I loved Dame Edna and I quite enjoyed the medley they did together. It was a very entertaining evening. At times the show drags a little at the beginning when the "feud" begins, but overall it is brisk and clean.

Hate Group To Protest 'RENT' in Sacramento Feb 2

I think the three best signs in Lizzie's post to the response were: "Where's Waldo?", "I'm Tired!", and "I Have a Sign!"

I wouldn't say the Washington Post review is negative, more mixed.

re: Dunaway Filming 'Master Class' in Detroit Dec 13
2009, 08:00:04 AM
Even though her performance in Network is superb, my vote will be for her excellent work in Chinatown for which I felt was more Oscar worthy. I will look forward to seeing this film because I enjoy Dunnaway's performances from the 70s. It would be nice to see her return to form in another Outstanding performance. We will have to see.

My favorite number on that Album is "The No-Tell Motel". Very odd score, but it's fun to hear Angela!

re: After Miss Julie Reviews Oct 22

I thought it was a pretty steamy production. I never liked the original Miss Julie, but I found this production quite exciting. I see it not being everyone's taste but you can't beat the three performances.

I will be very curious to see how the reviews play out. Personally, I think Brantley will be on the fence, because to me the good outweigh the bad parts of the show. I had an enjoyable time the first night I saw it. The second time started off rough, but ended pleasantly.

Yes I believe she had more dancing in Spanish Rose which a lot of people didn't like. Is it true that her scene in the bar is very short? *slight spoiler* She enters taps the gentlemen and orders her drink and the bartender says "Spanish Rose? Get out?" Or something to that effect?

The show is selling very well, so I don't see Roundabout closing the show early. Plus they will not close it early due to the large subscriber base. If The Philanthropist stayed through it's entire run with small houses and terrible reviews, Bye Bye Birdie will remain open until it's intended run date of January 10th. I didn't feel the show is anywhere near a train wreck. There have been far worse shows that I have seen on Broadway. I have heard that there have been some major c
