That's CBS in the top photo alright. BTW -Tony Nominee becomes Tony winner through carelessness as well. I had a friend who was a nom but mentioned a a "winner" in a Cindy Adams column -- that someone used as reference when doing her bio for some out of town stuff - thus she became a WINNUH! And I saw Betty Buckley once referred to as a Tony Nominee in public and her back went up like a cobra.

THE STREET WHERE YOU LIVE is a psychotic stalkers anthem and no one can convince me otherwise.

No - Jayne Houdyshell won Off BW but not for the B'way production of WELL. Still think she was robbed of the Tony.

Chicagoans are such contrarians. They don't want to award the obvious for fear of being called "provincial". Ok Ok, this is just my theory.

Simon Cowell basically told her that she would fade into obscurity, never to be heard from again. A "no one cares about the losers" comment.

I read Margo with great interest, but he/she is also human with his/her own biases and need to be "the smartest & prettiest" from time to time. She/He should write a book about his/her experiences in the theater.

I couldn't walk up 6th avenue in the 40's around 5 pm last night. Tourists cheek by jowl. Read in the paper today that we have 1.25 million visitors this week alone. The dollar is a piece of toilet paper so I can't say I'm surprised. Greatest percentage of visitors are form Asia. Have house seats for Grey Gardens tomorrow night. Couldn't get tix from the box-office.

Maybe because you are so young, you cannot know what Chita Rivera has meant to stage performers as an artist and as a human being. She is among the most gracious and inspiring professionals ever to step onstage. She has set the standard with the scope of her artistry and her professionalism. Hers is the career against which all future generations of dancers will be judged.
