re: The Biggest Rent Fan?

Oh god, here comes the mass of friends/family members/pets, urging all of BBW to vote for their Idina-lovin' friends.

I predict the board population will double within a week.

Emerald Monkey-- I was definitely waiting for that post.

I'll keep threadjacking to a minimum, but I'm nevertheless quite surprised at the level of assistance when one compares 9/11 to Katrina. Maybe it's just me, but I feel like not much is being... done?

I personally can't understand how people can *afford* to be RENTheads.

Let's just play pretend and assume that Idina Stalker #4150 has rushed every single rent show he/she has seen. I'm assuming that to qualify as a, "true obsessor," one has to at least be in the 40s (which, I'm sure, is still quite low).

Simple math: $20 times 40. Answer? $800.

Now I realize that's not a lot for your average person, even for your average teenager. But these are the obsessed; they

Condy Rice @ Wednesday's Spamalot

Just for a head's up, but Condoleezza Rice was at Wednesday's Spamalot show. That is all I know. I was not at said show, but instead noticed her leaving the theater all secret-service style afterwards.

Today (31st) is also Sara Ramirez's 30th birthday! Everyone at the stage door sang for her, and she seemed quite pleasant to be doing the usual fan stuff. Quite a turnaround from before, eh?

Short and sweet:

During Rüffhousin', John goes to hit Norbert's leg. Sound cue fires off early, getting a bit of a giggle from the audience. Actors continue on like normal.

John then runs off the stage for his big "whammo" shot. As he comes down for the mega-hit, the stick flies out of his hand and bounces down the front of the stage. By that point, momentum's got him going through the hitting motion, and he does a great follow-through... sans stick. The sound cue, of cour

"I'm not in this show--Robert Cuccioli."

Haha. That's grand -- absolutely grand.

I don't really have a *funny* stage door story, so much as just a normal one. It's not even really a story, actually.

I was at the stage door of Spamalot the other night (along with what, 300 other people?), right on the rail. Before the stars started coming out (including Sara-- a first for me!), I noticed a mother to my left, with her little daughter -- no taller than 3 feet, i swear

"--No cameras EVER"

Well shoot, someone please inform the Beauty and the Beast ushers (or, better yet, the 30 merchandise people who flood the aisles every chance they get). I swear, I've never seen people so happy to take pictures of a scrim before. It's like they've never seen a logo in their lives, and somehow capturing it will define their New York / theatergoing experience...

(sorry for a minor threadjack; I just thought tonight's B&B crowd was incredibly rude throughout

minor threadjack: From one Wildcat to another, congrats! Enjoy your time in Evanston and/or Northwestern's excellent student theater.
re: Favorite Spelling Bee words/definitions

Can I have a definition of the word?

"It's a cow."

Can you please use the word in a sentence?

"Please spell cow."

(similar to any other easy word, I'm sure)

Good luck! It's quite fun from the front.
re: Anyone been in the SPELLING BEE? how do you do it?

Yes. I just did it this past Thursday night, in fact. Quite amazing.

I've got the story up on my journal, just so I don't crush the board with a huge post.
