re: Broadway in Bryant Park: Worth It?
 Aug 4 2007, 07:05:57 PM
keep in mind, GMA concerts are at 8am. Broadway in Bryant Park occurs at prime lunch time. I eat lunch in the park almost every day, and it's packed around the 12p-2p time slot.

How was the lottery? I'm assuming more than normal, but was it completely out of hand?

I plan on getting out of work a few minutes early every day until I get tickets...

re: Spring Awakening rush information

Hi guys, I know this is a bit of a redundant question, but what's the rush line like nowadays? I am going to get student rush tickets tomorrow morning (Wednesday), and I'm wondering how early I need to get there. I'm not ever by that theater at that time of day so I really don't know how long the line ever is.

Thanks!

re: High Fidelity changes?
 Oct 24 2006, 04:49:32 PM
during the boston run, they changed the show A LOT. I know when I saw the show on thurs 10/19, they performed a brand new opening number that they learned that day. And the night before, Jen Cotella performed the song "Let's Order In" for the first time, which she had also learned either that day or the day before. There were also other changes, but isnt' it insane how the actors, stagehands, and everyone involved in the production can learn a new number and perform it less than a day later?

i was sitting in the center, but in the second section from the stage. Good seats though, i mean none of them were bad. I got there as early as i could (which was 6:50 lol) i had class and had to grab some food! So you know that "other school" that stuck him in a basement? Yeah, that would be my school, BU... haha, it was last year (i wasn't here, i'm a freshman) and it was in our coffeehouse. I thought it was pretty cool that it was a coffee house setting. I guess he didn't like it?? lol

I was there too! Awesome concert. I love how casual it was, and how amazing talented he is. I hate to admit it (because it's so darn teenybopper cliche) but i have the biggest crush on Adam. He was very funny tonight and, wow, what a voice! He was looking good too! Here's a couple pics...

quick story about the one with me... So i know the girl who started this thread said that people were obnoxious at the meet and greet, and i totally agree (people wearing rent shirts?!) but if

re: Least Favorite song
 May 31 2006, 08:53:02 PM
My two favorite musicals are West Side Story and Rent, so if I had to choose my least favorite songs, I'd go with "Gee Officer Krumpke" and "Today 4 U", but i don't necc. hate those songs.

I also love Hairspray but hate "Miss Baltimore Crabs"

i saw it last night, and it was excellent! My favorites were the Light in the Piazza spoof and Yoko Ono... MissNY, may I ask where you were seated? (That's another thing...it was my first time at the 47th St. Theater. I love small theaters like that)

re: RENT Benefit Lottery Policy up.

the only benefit to getting there early I could possibly think of is, what if the half hour goes by and not everyone got the chance to put in a card? Do you think that's possible?
re: Broadway Mistakes

when i saw wicked in march of 05 (with idina and kristin), in the scene when elphaba slaps glinda in the face, the slap sound effect went on wayyy before idina actually went and slapped kristen. I'm talking a full second or two. They both kept a straight face until kristen said, "Ow". And then they just burst out laughing. I actually think the sound effect went off twice, come to think of it...
