Broadway came back 3 years ago today when "Moulin Rouge" reopened on September 24, 2021.  When tickets went on sale in May, I grabbed a front row Mezz seat.  That performance was just incredible.  The love, the energy.  It was like a rock concert, with each number stopping the show.  One of my most amazing theatre memories in my many, many decades of going to the theatre.

Will be seeing "Tammy Faye" & "Death Becomes Her" in mid November through Audience Rewards.  My "Tammy" ticket is row S in the Orchestra.  My ticket for "Death," is row M in the Orchestra.  Great seats.  

It's unfortunate that this has to happen.  And very good of them to be able to readjust in order to keep in business.  In summer 2008, I saw both "Mame" and "West Side Story" there.  Fantastic productions!!

That's standard practice for test previews - to overbook.  I've seen many test screenings over the years, and I always get to the theatre at least 2 hours before the doors even open.  If you want to get in and get a seat, have to plan ahead.  I did get the email for the screening, but wasn't able to attend.  Looking forward to seeing it once it's released.

Great news!  Have seen MR multiple times, including the Re-opening performance in Sept 2021, coming out of Covid.  That performance was like a rock concert!  Just saw it again in May, as well.  

Kad, I saw Juliet Prowse in the show several times in the early 90's.  She was just fantastic!  So regal and so elegant.  And, when she danced, she was a swan.  Her versions were very faithful to the original staging.  

Have done the show several times - including Jo Anne Worley & Carol Lawrence.  Both of these productions had some of the original staging incorporated into the show.  

Bette would have been a fabulous Gooch, way back when.  No big surprise that she would like to have played Mame.  It's a fantastic role, with wonderful songs!

Jerry Herman said many times that he thought Catherine Zeta-Jones would be a great Mame.  He was right.  She'd be perfect.  

She was never in the original production of "1776."  She was born in 1962, and "1776" opened in 1969.  

Wow!  Each of them have at least 30 performances that they won't be performing in during their run.

Was in NYC in May for 10 days and was very happy to see that "The Great Gatsby" had Thursday matinees.   You try to see everything, and it's so hard to do that.  Was able to see TGG on that Thursday and loved it.  The tickets my friend and I had were side Orchestra, and when I got to the box office to pick up the tickets, was thrilled that - for whatever reason, the box office moved us to center Orchestra, right on the aisle.  

No surprise, unfortunately.  When my friend and I saw it last month, on a Saturday matinee, we were in the Mezz, and the Mezz was only half full.  Enjoyed the show very much.  Just so much fun!

Unbelievable.......I logged on 10 minutes before, and by 3:40pm The Tonys hadn't started yet?  WTF?

Glad I went on here to see if anyone else was having the same issue.  I logged off and logged back on, and am finally able to watch it.
