re: Shows You Didn't Like at first...but you liked later on.
 May 31 2007, 02:09:24 PM
I didn't think I was going to like "We Will Rock You."
At least, I didn't think I would love it as much as I did. I didn't like the idea of a musical with a score that wasn't original...but WOW

Any fans of the show, I reccomend this site

it's a forum, and nobody posts there anymore, so we need new people!
Thanks so much!

re: Kristin in WICKED movie, returning etc.

Yes, a lot of the Magic of "Wicked" is being on stage.
But look what it's based on!
"The Wizard of Oz" started as a book- then it was a Broadway musical, then a movie.
Who's to Say Wicked won't be the same?
It could do well as a movie in my opinion

So maybe the singing wasn't great
I personally think that the songs were well written and as someone mentioned, people worked hard to do this. There was good choreography. I myself enjoyed the movie

you are right about that
re: Hi I'm new/HAIRSPRAY & WICKED

I agree that she won a Tony for a reason, and obviously no one would have cast her as Elphaba if they didn't think she could do it and I think she was great in the role!!! Besides, Elphaba isn't a role that just anyone could do, she has some pretty tough songs, and about the whole "gasping" thing, I know from experience it is hard to sing and move around at the same time, I mean, the woman has to breathe once in a while, I think it would be better to have her "gasping" than passing out

re: accents for a show
 Jun 29 2005, 09:10:03 AM
Sorry, I don't really have much, all I can think of is: Do you know someone with that kind of accent or have a movie where someone has that accent? Try, if you can, listening to someone who has the accent and try to copy it until you have it perfect

sorry I can't be of bigger help

re: Just back from Wicked in Chicago...

Thanks for the review! Wicked is my favourite show. I never got to see it on Broadway but I saw it in Toronto and I thought that it was amazing! Thanks again

I have noticed that in Wicked and also in Phantom there is much repetition
