Happy reading:

It’s got to be &Juliet - 4 week gap between Costa Mesa and Portland, the haulage truck goes past the Ahmanson to get to Oregon.

Does anyone go and see a show in both Costa Mesa & Pantanges/Ahmanson.

Canceled Productions That Eventually Happened?

Whistle Down the Wind.

I know WDTW was definitely heading to Broadway, but got aborted after a unsuccessful Washington try out.

Someone did say to me that it had its marquee up at the Martin Beck theater  (Al Hirshfeld) I never have been able to verify this though? In  Gerald Schonefeld’s book it did say it was heading to the Shubert but the Shubert organization couldn’t get Big to close.

Interesting that both Cleveland & Colombus, Ohio announcements is so close together. I looked on Wiki and Colombus is times the size of Cleveland by population - but shows run 3 times as long in the smaller Cleveland. Every show announced in the Colombus season package only run for 1 week.

One of my favorite musical of all time, give a strong poignant message without being preachy. Broadway could do with a star studded revival?

Broadway could do with a fun & light hearted musical.

You cannot stop the beat!

Cleveland must be the biggest tour stop outside the major US cities, hence why Hamilton is doing 3 weeks and I am sure previous engagements have played longer?

Nice to see Palm Springs announce, which Imsuspect is all non-equity.

So when is the Ahmanson going to announce?

HAMILTON -> Las Vegas?

I saw Phantom in Vegas and the show I saw was a special show additional slot due to a holiday stop. I did enjoy the show as did the other 50 people in the theatre with me.

I just want to find out plays/musicals that have sat down in North American cities other than New York?

Would I be right in saying that Hamilton's Angelica tour is going back on the road? So it is bock to 2 National Tours?

That was during the good days of BroadwaySF being run by the Nederlander amid a split between them and Carole Shorenstein Hayes, who owns the Curran.

When CURSED CHILD came to SF, CSH entered a management deal with ATG to oversee operations of the Curran. Now that ATG has bought the Orpheum and Golden Gate outright from the Nederla

Non Equity Tours

It is a had life on the road, especially if you are constantly on the move.

Thinking Wicked, Phantom, Harry Potter, Aladdin or the Lion king could never become a non equity tour, as the show is too big for that. I mentioned up thread that A Chorus Line, Chicago, Come From Away are a gift for non equity tours as the set lends itself to be done on a small scale and maybe Book of Mormon, could also see the same gift for Avenue Q, Spring Awakening, Rent to Next to Normal, as these show

So sometimes we wouldn't be able to use the top level. Or we had a few set pieces that rolled on from the wings, but if there was no wing space, we'd have to cut those and just use chairs. In one instance, the D version of the set, nothing could fit because it was an old movie hou

In fairness Come From Away like A Chorus Line and Chicago are a gift they have an awesome score and a brilliant book, which thankfully covers fo

There is catching up to do on big Broadway shows, I could add several more to the list.

Toronto equally has a track record of looking to take big shows both from Broadway and West End. So wonder if they would be looking at National Th
