The musical Nonnsense would also be a great comedy! I think this musical may even have been an inspiration for Sister Act 1&2.

Purlie Victorious was the first musical I had ever seen! I must have been about nine or ten at the time. Sherman Hemsley's performance is etched in my mind for life!

Check out the song "Buenos Aires" from Evita. There is a musical break written into song. I have the 20th anniversary edition CD set, and you can also purchase the Musical Excerpts Complete Libretto. It is very rhythmical, and it would set you apart from the rest, because the song is very demanding and not always used in tap repertoire.

I am currently playing Shenzi in the German production of The Lion King. I have seen the Berlin production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame with two extremely talented casts.The show was scheduled to make its Bway debut in the Winter Garden theater,starring Drew Sarrich as Quasimodo.Due to internal politics,it was cancelled.The Berlin theater public is indeed a very difficult one to appease.
