A Strange Loop or Hadestown?

I have had great luck in last few days exchanging and refunding tickets purchased on telecharge. This is a wonderful thing for those of us who like flexibility when planning our NYC trips.

Well isn't that interesting.  As of today

Telecharge Refund policy?
 Apr 20 2022, 07:25:14 PM

For my trip in March, I was able to get refunds for several shows without an issue.

For my trip in May, all REFUND and EXCHANGE buttons were gone ....

until today I noticed I am able to both refund and exchange all the tickets I bought for May including the ones I bought last week and the ones I bought six months ago.  This wonderful for the fickle planners like me who can never settle on a show, date, time, or seat for my trip.

Inexpensive Theatre District Food Recommendations?
 Apr 9 2022, 03:01:05 PM

We ate at TeriyakiRUs between 6th and 7th on 49th and had delicious meal for $8.99.
We found this place while checking out the nearby ramen place that always has a line.
We kept going when we saw the generic ramen was $18.

I agree with Turco.  Their Gyro was amazing.

FUNNY GIRL on Broadway - News & Discussion Thread
 Mar 29 2022, 04:11:29 PM

I am just a theater fan. I love musicals. I travel across the country to NYC to see as many as I can at least once a year when there isn't a pandemic. I have had a trip planned for more than a year and added Funny Girl to my list of shows. We saw it last night. I really wanted to love it. I wanted to love Beanie. I'm sad to write a review saying I was disappointed.

What I liked: Ramin Karimloo (would love to have heard him sing with his equal in singing skill), Jane Lynch

May Trip
 Apr 1 2022, 02:52:27 PM

We are in the midst of a similar trip.  We've seen Music Man, Six, Phantom, Funny Girl, Tina, SUFFs, Paradise Square, Little Prince, Little Girl Blue.  We have left to see Company, MJ, and The Minutes.

Phantom: I've seen Phantom before and still loved it.  I think the cast right now is exceptional.
Music Man: loved it (even though I thought most singing was average)
Six: loved it
SUFFS: loved it
Tina: enjoyed it

ACTION REQUIRED emails from Broadway Direct
 Mar 19 2022, 04:04:05 PM

I am getting emails from Broadway Direct saying I must confirm that I will abide by covid protocols when I go to shows next week.  Are these scams?  I dare not click on the links.  Anybody else?

POTUS starring Vanessa Williams, Julianne Hough, Rachel Dratch & More to Open This Spring
 Mar 1 2022, 06:57:13 PM

I see tickets available on TeleCharge.  I don't get how they decide which seats to make available.  Only one day, May 11, in the week we will be seeing shows is there a good selection of reasonably priced seats.   Every other day has the same set of seats available but not all of them.  Just weird.  Almost like they are trying to sell the iffy seats and maybe testing out the waters of how much to charge before they make all the good (i.e. expensive) seats ava

Spotting Broadway Stars Guest Starring on TV/Streaming Shows
 Feb 25 2022, 02:16:07 PM

I was pleased to see Christian Borle in BlackHat on Netflix which was in top 10 shows this week.  The movie was a bit of a slog but it was fun to see Christian.

Paradise Square or Suffs
 Feb 10 2022, 01:26:39 PM

We have trip planned for May.  We got tickets to Paradise Square awhile back.  I just got tickets to Suffs too because the subject intrigues me.  Just a scattering of single seats available in early May for every show I looked at.

Seating for Winter Garden - Music Man
 Oct 11 2021, 12:49:05 PM

I have tickets to see the show in April in the side Mezzanine.  I like to be closer.  I was also able to switch to row A seats 1&3.  It saved me $20.  I've read these seats are "too close".  I'm hoping I made the right decision to switch.  I confirmed two seats in the row behind me and 4 seats farther left (B 9&11) are $330 more ... each.

I couldn't afford to buy any seat in center Orchestra or first 6 seats or so in side orchestra sections.  But I did get seats for the dates we are in town.  So happy.

COMPANY Returning December 20th, OPENING JANUARY 9th 2022

Looking at purchasing tickets. Anybody have guidance on which $189 seats would be best?  Why is front row cheaper than 3rd row?

Patrick Wilson in a musical?
 Feb 24 2020, 07:43:05 PM

Wonder if he was up for the dentist in Little Shop of Horrors.  While super talented, he doesn't seem to have much of a draw with fans. Chris Evans can sing?

Patrick Wilson in a musical?

He said it on twitter this week.  Somebody asked if he was ever going to be doing a musical and he responded with Soon! :)

Patrick Wilson in a musical?
 Feb 21 2020, 08:14:12 PM

Patrick Wilson said he was going to be in a musical soon. Anybody know anything?

I didn't see him in Full Monty, Oklahoma!, or anything else he's done ... I'd love to get a chance.

Little Shop of Horrors Tickets
 Sep 26 2019, 05:24:17 PM

I see front row seats available for most shows thru and including closing night.  Wish I had unlimited funds and could see it ... though I've heard the front row can be quite the spit fest.

It looks like they are now selling six of the front row seats for many dates in October.  Unfortunately, all are for premium ($199-239) prices.

I see premium tickets available for tonight and this weekend shows via telecharge.  Some in October too.

I'm slow. I just figured out how to search for a range of dates using telecharge. Not a single ticket available between September 17 and November 3. Resale seats are going for $400 + fees. I should have snapped up some of those premium tickets that showed up for brief second. Since I live across the country, I can't come to NYC in hopes of getting a rush ticket. Let's hope they extend.
