I think the role of callotta is the only strong force emotionally in the show because she let's it out. the other's are living in denail about thing's that should be shearded , but I think it may be a little 1970 for some of these question's which I never thought of before . Only a few would walk a way before then, afraid of denial of ect..

re: Annie Get Your Gun--original vs. revisal Mar 16

I went to the 1966 revival and took my neice to the 1999 revival with Bernadette Peters and she did a wonderful job. I tend to like the 1966 revival the best arrangments and the trill of being just a little boy at such a production they tell I just sat there in amazement. I do remember a terrific response to An old fashion wedding being done for the first time. My favorarit vocal's for Merman and ray middleton are the 47 original just because they are .

I would love to see this happen but i think Polly bergen should come back to play carlotta she did a terrific job in the roundabout production and more or less I agree with Elaine s Strich's theory about who should be singing the song, no offense Polly .

There is no dought in my mind that Mama Rose in Gypsy is the Hardest role ever written, I have seen so many lose it during just limited roles of this show, not even to mention the long runs.

This really seems to be a switch that happens lately a lot of what some of us have experinced in the theatre in New York in the past that would be in the spotlight everywhere with critical acclaim and everything to happen in the town, but no longer I personally seem to like what's happening in LA with show's like Curtain's and this reveiw of Dreamgirls

I saw the show the afternoon of the tony's and loved it and i also was a big fan of the show listening to it from the time a was a young boy. I had been to see the Follie's the night before which was the closing night so there was a lot of excitement there including seeing Ann Miller there and I had been in attendance of the Paper mill Follie's and I got to tell her that I thought she had done a faboulous job with I'm Still Here.
