Superman in Dallas Reviews?

I found this great message thread regarding the show from Superman comics fans on DC Universe. It's interesting because these folk are often concerned with a completely different set of details than the theatre crowd...(e.g. someone may get the most obscure reference to Beppo the Supermonkey but not know that Linda Lavin was the original Sidney Sharp in 1966!!) Just to clarify...the Dallas production of Superman has an entirely new libretto. It is not just tweaked with a few updates. It is a new show with a new story and many new characters. Nothing remains of the original show but the music and major characters of Superman, Clark Kent, Sidney Sharp, Max Mencken (albeit in another form - he is no longer is a fellow reporter at the Daily Planet), and Perry White.

You can actually see from my previous post, missing are: "Revenge" and "What I've Always Wanted", along with the overture. Also, some numbers are reworked, such as "Meanwhile" aka "It's Superman (reprise), and "It's Supernice". Also, many numbers from the original are given to different characters, for instance, "We Don't Really Matter" was Lois and I think Jim, while in this production it is Clark and Sidney. It is definitely quite a feat on the part of Aguirre-Sacasa working these songs into a
