re: Spring Awakening...just got home...NOW, A REVIEW
 Nov 17 2006, 12:10:32 AM
"The whole youth ensemble is amazing. and quite inspiring. They all standout and are very good actors. I love how each cast member took their individual characters and brought them to life. you can see them living in their characters skin. the ensemble sits on stage, so you always see them...and there they are...still in character, and their character choices were great!..it was neat, they never turn off, for a second...young actors, but very mature."

OOOO I'm so glad that you enjoyed t

Score on the front row seats! I hope not being there right at 10 AM will still let me get seats (so long as it is not like five minutes before the show I think I'll be fine).

I already saw the show too, so I was thinking it would be really cool to be up there and saw like hehe I was on a broadway stage. I'll make the choice when I get there.

Either way, I totally have no problem seeing Jonathan's bootay.
Who is your friend?

I'm thinking about going next Friday night....are the student rush tickets whatever is left in the orchestra (like all the way to the sides?) or do they stick everyone in the back. People, get back about the avaliability if you can of student rush this week, day after Thanksgiving will probably be a butt busy, but I'll go for it anyway.

Do you think it would freak out my friend in the show if I was onstage? I saw it off bway with great center seats and thought it would be really fun

Wowza! Check out the second picture on the site! Radames is a hunk! Very Jesus like (my good friend played him in the youth production there recently). I love lifting the turntable too for a rowboat; I didn't know it could do that! The pictures make it look like they are doing the same ruins children thing in the opening/closing. Oooo I can't wait to see this over Spring Break now! I go there all the time, thanks for opening it up to the greater community!

I bet it would be fine to use them. While it is an under ground cult classic, the teenyboppers ain't found this one yet. I read the book over the summer and enjoyed it, glad to hear that the music is similiarily entertaining.

:SPOILER ALERT: Saw the show last night and adored it. I think that the humor of the show came moe from the type of event that it was. The fact that it was spoofing a movie that in retrospect takes itself very seriously is always funny...from the first moments that Clarice crosses the stage in her FBI sweatsuit to not not seeing in the dark basement of Buffalo Bill (who won my award for being the most real but still funny at the same time). Plus the fact that it was a fringe show definetly wa

So do you think that there is ANY way to get tickets to this show still? I've been a fan of the show online for the past year and didn't realize when making plans to see the show that it was gonna be sold out! Would showing up before hand and waiting get me anywhere? I'm planning on going to the Thursday 10:45 PM showing... would the late night have more cancellations then regular showings? OOOOO I hope I can go...oops that I asked a bunch of people to see it with me hehe!

If you don't know this show....your life will be changed as the character's were (in different ways I guess) in this show. A perfect capsule of the 70s not only in content and story plot, but in musical style. Everytime I introduce someone to the beautifulness that is "Love Revolution" that can't help but say that it has an awesome groove to it. The Act I Finale "Sexually Free" is the main theme of this show, showing that in the four main characters' pushing themselves they realize how much t

Hells yeah. I must admit that I was just kinda imitating the CD but the director's were most impressed (I learned later) which the complete transformation in my voice that I could be a fiesty cockney lady to big black man (basically). I've heard another girl do it before, I mean hey, may the best person win! If you can't see 'em it doesn't hurt. Anyway in the movie they say Mean Green MOTHER from outer space...what up wit dat?

Smallest: Talking Head in Pippin....hey better than nothing?!
Jack's Mom Into the Wood...not bad for my first musical (one of the theater teacher's played the cow's ass...haha that was funny...you should be proud costumemistress!)

Biggest: Eliza Doolittle followed by Audrey II most awesome random combo of parts and BEST way to end senior year.

WoW!!! HOtttt. You could see Charity in the lake! Big Spenda right there in yo face! Did that Life Church guy blow your eardrums up there with his pop tenor notes? Very lucky I guess...I thought they would only give me side ones...maybe they want center orchestra to look full no matter what?!

I just got rush on Thursday night for Charity and I was very pleased with the seats. I went at 12 for the 8 show and got Row N seat 25 (which was all the way to the right) but once I got to the seat they really weren't that bad seats. It sounded like the girl that was sitting next to me and just bought her tickets a few hours before the show (she had tried q and drs lotteries up the street) and was sitting right next to me. It rocked because the people closer to the center aisle of us didn't
His Rocking Horse Ran Away Music

I am involved in a revue at my school where the directors are hoping to use this song. They have a recording of it for me to hear, but the person they though had sheet music of it discovered they didn't. I don't even know what show this is from but I would appreciate it if anyone could put me in touch with someone who has it! Colony didn't even have it!

Thanks!

YES YES I know that it is a Lotto. That was not my question. MY question is whether people who have been going to the lotto so far have had good success?!

Has this been going well for everyone? I'm planning on doing it in a few Thursdays. I didn't realize that they changed it over to a darn lotto. I hope that it doesn't get too too well known about, I want to make sure that I see the show over Spring Break!

re: Okay! I need your help.. (Cast Recordings)..

The way to get songs for free for ipods is either copying the songs from a friend's or library's copy of the CD and then uploading the MP3 files. (MY personal choice)

For those on large networks like at most colleges, you are able to access other computer's song collections and by using the program MyTunes bring them to your computer for personal use. That's what my friends here do anyway..

Side Show....just discovered the soundtrack and it is uber groovy cool. Especially "Come Look at the Freaks" the little riff the girls sing is so chilling, I'd love to do this show!
re: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels - Rush?

I went to the theater over Winter Break to buy tickets in advance and they said that when the previews start Feb 14 they will post their rush policy on their site. But yes there will be one I'm just not so sure if it will apply to all seats or a specific section (I'm hoping that I can buy the tickets this way for March Spring Break!) Glad I could help.

Ooo is it risky to go down to the front row of the mezz? I mean it is a pretty big theater, but if I'm thinking about going thursday anyway, it's not too busy right?

Is there a reason why they don't have rush at all? Do they sometimes change their policies mid-show when ticket sales go down a little? I saw on the 26th of December that they are already putting tickets on TKTS.
