Laura Osnes Frozen
 Aug 22 2018, 11:42:50 PM

I saw Frozen a couple weeks ago, but just recently saw a video of Laura Osnes singing For the First Time in Forever. While Patti was absolutely phenomenal, I can't help but wonder why Laura Osnes wasn't cast as Anna. She's younger than Murin, has the voice, the resume, and the fan base and seems altogether like a perfect candidate for the part. Thoughts?

Perrie Edwards Wicked
 Jun 8 2018, 10:32:24 PM

Referencing the same source as before, Perrie Edwards has been offered and has accepted the role of Glinda in the upcoming film. No word from Demi yet; her hold on the role left for decision making is running out.

No agreement was able to be reached with Colbert (there is talk of approaching Grey) but Christine Baranski has also been offered the role of Madame Morrible. I was told a Fiyero is in talks but was not told the actor. Boq will be played by current Broadw

Demi Lovato Wicked
 Jun 7 2018, 12:41:25 AM

I have a friend who is assistant to Stephen Schwartz and he told me that as of today Demi Lovato has officially been offered the role of Elphaba in the film.

I don't know about her acting but I'm pretty sure she'll be able to sing the hell out of this score.

I asked if he knew of anyone else who had been cast but he said that they are struggling to find a Glinda and that Colbert is in negotiations to play the wizard.

Broadway Debuts

LOL no man I'm saying I didn't realize Broadway in London or vice versa because Linnamon role clearly seems to think so. I just thought it was a helpful bit of info LOL

Celebrity Big Brother climax (spoiler included)
 Feb 25 2018, 10:19:47 PM

I don't know if it was a necessarily bitter jury. If you count the votes: James was swayed by Marissa's speech, Chuck appreciated her game, Ari just voted as honestly as she could, and I think Keshia really did just want a woman to win, and Omarosa did what any other BB player would have done and voted for the person who wasn't trying to get her out the whole time, makes sense to me.

Meta's vote could have gone either way, really.

Brandi and Mark were

I agree, Bonnie and Sandy despite being at the start of her career are completely different from her roles now.

So curious as to what her role on that HBO pilot was

Evan Hansen Belts
 Feb 17 2018, 01:51:56 PM

Curious as to how high Evan goes in WTAW, I've seen Bb5 and Bb4? Bb5 seems awfully high for a tenor, and highly doubt that any male tenor could belt up to the Bb5, which makes me wonder whether the finally "big note" in WTAW is in fact the Bb4. Anyone know?

West End Stars that should transfer
 Jan 17 2018, 10:56:20 PM

I'm wondering if there are any West End stars that should make the jump across the pond to Broadway, those that have seem to be doing incredibly well.

Personally, I would love to see Sheridan Smith if only because I would hope with her would come the Funny Girl revival.

Shoshana Bean's Voice
 Jan 17 2018, 10:50:35 PM

Sho has always been one of my favourite Elphie's but I have not been keeping up with her lately and have decided to binge watch several of her latest performances and can't help but notice her belt and voice does not sound like what it once was. Is it possible that age is giving it a husk al a Barbra or is she just vocally tired?

Celebs come to Broadway
 Dec 27 2017, 05:08:55 PM

Just curious about what you guys think about recent celebs who have joined Broadway productions, were they good, bad, not right, or somewhere in the middle. The few that come to mind are: Jennifer Hudson in the Colour Purple, Vanessa Hudgens in Gigi, Emma Stone in Cabaret, Daniel Radcliffe in HTSIBWET, Sara Bareilles & Jason Mraz in Waitress, Alex Newell in OOTI... I can't think of any others rn but comment below!

Audra, Kristin and Phantom
 Dec 27 2017, 04:50:28 PM

I know that they aren't ingénue's anymore but I'm just curious as to why Audra and Kristin had never stepped into Phantom as Christine. I know Kristin did some variation of Phantom though it was ALW's but I just can't believe we have never heard Audra sing anything or hop into it in the past. Is it not in her range or what? She's probably just had other business ventures but I just feel like with her being a trained opera singer this would be one of the rol

Who is the greatest performer to have ever graced the broadway stage?
 Dec 17 2017, 01:47:07 AM
I don't quite know for male performers.

I think as of right now one of the most reliable Broadway leading men is Christian Borle and he seems to be the most successful among his generation along with Bryan D'arcy James. Other then than that I would give honourable mentions to Jeremy Jordan and Aaron Tveit.

Who is the greatest performer to have ever graced the broadway stage?
 Dec 17 2017, 01:45:12 AM
I'd say it's a tough race but I'd offer up the following for contemporary performers.

Audra McDonald: nothing more to be said.
Patti Lupone: phenomenal actress and singer
Sutton Foster: true Broadway triple threat
Jessie Mueller: I truly believe she is among the best of her generation of perfomers.
Megan Hilty: but I don't think she's really had a role with which she can show off.
Annaleigh Ashord: Just a stunning performer.

But I don't think anyone c

Julie Andrews and the Tony
 Dec 15 2017, 01:26:52 AM
I don't know if it's just me but Julie deserves the honourary tony or best actress (featured or lead) in a MUSICAL! She's Julie Andrews, her Tony shouldn't be for a play (not that there's anything wrong with winning a Tony for a play) , also what do people think of Audra being the O away from the egot, unfortunately I don't think that Oscar is ever going to come, what do you think?
Julie Andrews and the Tony
 Dec 14 2017, 04:51:53 PM

Does anyone think she would have won the Tony had she not declined it for Victor/Victoria? Its upsetting because she is only the T away from the EGOT, and Julie is one of the most gifted musical theatre performers of her generation. Do you think that the ATW might give her an honorary Tony sometime?
