I really don’t know how you speak for all “THE GAYS” but believe me, they could give me a free ticket to this and I wouldn’t accept it.  I know at least 10 gay friends who have no interest in it and all think it will be a massive flop.

Apparently as a 65 yo gay man I am clueless.  What number was so fabulous that we as the big gay musical machine willed “The Outsiders” win the Tony for Best Musical?

Well, to be fair there was that adult version called “Poke a Hot …..”

I am also of those groups and we brought 10 people with us from age 13 to 66 covering pretty much every generation alive.   Only one person actually liked this show and he is 17 and a huge fan of Townsend and an aspiring musician.  For me, who grew up with the album and The Who, it was muddy and lacked anything to say.  I was truly bored out of my mind and could not believe they took “Shucked” out of the theater to bring in “Tommy.” 

I am assuming that you don’t have the ability  to get information from Telecharge or Wikipedia?   Wikipedia gives a point by point recap of the Outsiders at just a quick glance.  I don’t understand these continued questions when the information is at your fingertips already.  If you are that triggered, I would stay far away from The Outsiders. 

The documentary is so bad.  I tried, really, really tried to watch it, but about 15 minutes in I decided it was a waste of my time and just so cringeworthy.

Sadly I saw this during its Broadway run.  I don’t remember any of the male characters (or female characters) being the actual lead.  It all seemed like characters running around an inexpensive set with the purpose of singing 80’s disco hits.  I literally have little memory of it, except how much I hated every minute of it (and I do love Seth very much, but will always blame him for that 2 hours of torture.)

I have not wanted to see “Hell’s Kitchen” and that made me want to NOT see it even more.

Let’s bet that Pete Townshend shows up on stage for Tommy’s performance to give the impression he is in the show.   

I don’t know the costs, but most of the sets for the Tony Awards are projections with a few set pieces recreated.  The last time we went to the show in 2019, The only set piece brought on for “The Prom” was a very scaled down version of the bedroom and “Hadestown” had no set pieces, but the lights and a few platforms and to me didn’t resemble or represent the show at all.
