I'm so glad Brantley enjoyed it so much! (Well, except the book/etc) I can't wait to see this.

Thanks, everythingtaboo. That's what I figured. I'm definitely planning on seeing Douglas Hodge. Still, it would be interesting to see Kelsey as Albin. What's taking the NYT so long to post a review? Sheesh.

I'd love to see both. I will definitely have to try to. I plan go go to NYC on the 30th for about a week. I'm definitely going to see this. Now I'll just have to start planning another trip in six months. :)

No way! Now I'm torn. Should I go see the show now or when he's Albin? Douglas Hodge sounds great so I'd like the chance to see him too.

Matt Windman says: Kelsey Grammer is supposed to take over the role of Albin in six months. Is that confirmed or just a rumor? I love Kelsey Grammer but that seems a little out of his range.

Mandell spent most of his review comparing the cast to the cast in The Birdcage... He doesn't seem very objective.

I'm so glad to hear this is getting good reviews. I hope to see it sometime in the next two weeks. For those of you who've gone, how's the stage door atmosphere? Is it a zoo or are there not many people? I'd love to meet Kelsey Grammer.

Can someone explain what those Passion clips are exactly? I've never heard of the show or watched it. But they are eerily like Wicked.

But it would be nice to get someone new in the role.

re: How is the current cast of WICKED? Jul 31

I saw Wicked on Saturday night. It seemed like everyone was out (Glinda and Fieyro). Glinda drove me crazy throughout the first act but I liked her better in the 2nd act. What's the deal with Kerry? I was especially bummed because I went primarily to see her and ended up bored the whole time (I liked the London production so much better). I would have expected her to do Saturday night at least. Very disappointed.

Could someone PM me the clip? Complete bummer if it's Bailey. Guess I won't be seeing the show when I go next week.

Lauren and Autumn did great tonight. The other three deserved going to the casting office. Bailey just needs to get over herself. She comes off as a spoiled little girl ala 'My Super Sweet 16.' Though Autumn needs to get a new wardrobe to go with her new hair. Her clothes sort of clashed with her blonde hair.

I dunno. I think Lauren would be wasted playing Margot. Though who would pass up an opportunity like that to get their equity card and experience? If she gets to be the u/s Elle, then maybe she won't be so wasted. She's the only one of them all that I would actually pay to go see.

Is there really not going to be a new Elle until August/September?

re: Did anyone see Kerry ELLIS tonight? Jun 22

Wow. I listened to some stuff on youtube from her first show on Broadway and can't imagine what those who didn't like her were thinking. I thought Glinda's acting was terrible. But listening to them convinced me to try to get tickets to Wicked when I go to NYC at the end of July (Sell a kidney if I have to...) to see her again. She is fantastic.

I might be one of the few to include South Pacific in this category. Great music but the book and story are just awful.
