Who's your favorite cast member from Rent?
 Aug 9 2005, 11:09:11 AM
I don't have just one.

Adam first and foremost... then Anthony, Cary Shields, Matt Caplan, Caren Lyn Manuel, and more, but can't seem to think right now. xDD

A Legitimate Rent Question
 Apr 6 2005, 07:41:23 AM
Anthony, I asked Cary this question, so I wanna ask you the same. Do you ever find yourself in a situation, where someone said something, or did something, and it reminded you of a Rent song? Like, you'll say something, or someone'll say something, or do something, and you find yourself suddenly thinking, humming, or even singing the song? Like, when you were doing it on stage, after that, and of course, since you're doing the movie, I'm sure those songs are in your head quite often. Any example

Choose: Ian Somerhalder, or Josh Holloway?

You're so great Lael. Although, I think it depends on what it is I have to choose. And for the above question, I'd go with Ian. Sex god gallore. And he plays a beautiful gay boy in Rules Of Attraction (see this movie!!)

You're so adorable Incendiary.

Okay, so what do I believe to be an absolute truth? Well, hmmm, that's a tough one. That musicals will either be good or bad, no matter what anyone says. Opinions are opinions, and everyone's entitled to them, and everyone will have them. And life will go on, even if we didn't have celebrities, although celebs make our lives more interesting cuz we tend to live vicariously through them.

*realizes he's going to read this...hopes he laughs* What? He is. Who here agrees with me?"

If I didn't... We all love you Ant, and hope you don't mind this. I just remember you commenting on being such a normal guy, so why not talk to you like one, right?

"*sung to the beginning of Somewhere That's Green* "I know Anthony's the greatest, but I'm beginning to think he's a semi-sadist..." "

Actually, I don't think he's sadistic at all. I think he's more of the masochistic type, and I'll bet he looks great in handcuffs.

Mimi, Maureen, and especially Benny. Well, Maureen's okay in small doses.

You can go with me. I'll get you in CQT. It's definitely gonna be rated R.

Anthony posted about how the movie has become much more like the show than it had originally started.
re: NYTW Rent vs. Broadway Rent
 Mar 17 2005, 08:16:56 PM
I was finishing up my freshman year of high school when NYTW came out. I wish I was living in NY at the time, but nope, stuck in CA. Have been, and probably always will be. If only there was a way to see that show, that would be awesome.

Some of the first songs for Rent are actually pretty good. Okay, except for the Benny songs in all honesty. I am thankful Jonathan changed those songs, or replaced them with other words (ie. Right Brain). I would've loved to have seen the 94 NYTW version though. It actually reveals a lot more about them that's not obvious in the broadway version.

As Lael knows, I prefer Do A Little Business over Real Estate, mainly cuz Real Estate is just flat out weird. With Business, they all sing, and it's cute, cuz you know they're making fun of Benny.

You'll See is far better than either of those songs, but if You'll See wasn't there, then definitely Do A Little Business.

wow

Hey, thanks a lot Wheat Boy... oh no wait, it's Whiteboy now. Sorry.

No really, thanks for the update. They're fun to read.

BLA BLA BLA

Thanks for clearing that up for us Anthony, but does that mean Adam may be one of those smokers? Just curious.

It sounds like so much fun filming on a rooftop. Just be careful, and don't fall.

LilElphaba, you're not the only one who thinks Anthony Federov looks like Anthony. He's adorable, and can sing, what a great combo. Much like Anthony Rapp.

I knew that, and he's a cutie.
Who is better?
 Mar 16 2005, 12:14:27 AM
Definitely Bernadette!
re: What part would you be horrible in?
 Mar 16 2005, 12:07:18 AM
Anything to high. I'm not a soprano. But give me an alto, tenor, or even baritone/bass part, and I'm there.
re: If you could choose one...
 Mar 14 2005, 07:06:25 PM
Both, as long as I get Mark and Roger with the package.
