I have to agree with Broadway on this one. When I saw Lion King I was so bored after the opener.

I didn't have any problems Sunday night, but Thursday I wanted to HURT people. My little cousin wants to see "Wicked" when it's at the Benedum Center in September and I can only imagine what kind of circus that is going to be. I saw it twice on Broadway and while it's a bearable show it tends to contain an unbearable audience.

Although, that makes me wonder this question. Are audiences worse with touring shows or with actual Broadway shows?

This was on Thursday night and I was front row center Mez. I really just don't understand some people.

The worst experience I've had was seeing Next to Normal in Pittsburgh. The couple sitting next to me came in late at the beginning of the show and after intermission. The woman was eating candy and the man had some sort of cold and kept coughing and blowing his nose. Both of their cell phones rang at different points during the show.

Plus to make it even more awkward the man was on the larger side and decided he would be more comfortable if he put his arm across the back of my seat

Best times to catch Ripley (and not Pearl) in the N2N Tour

We had the understudy (Jason Watson) for Dan, too, but he was fantastic as well

I really hope you get to see Asa play Dan. It was a knockout performance for me both times I saw him.

As for Ripley's attendance When I was waiting for the doors to open for the last performance in Pittsburgh I heard a few of the ushers talking and according to the Ripley missed quite a bit. Then I also heard an audience member had tried three times to see her in Pittsburgh to no luck.
Who do you WANT to win a Tony?

I would love to see Norbert Leo Butz win.

Best times to catch Ripley (and not Pearl) in the N2N Tour

Tonight was the last show in Pittsburgh and Pearl was on. I was taken by her performance! Her voice was such a change from Alice's. Although I prefer Ripley's portrayal of the part. Pearl Had a couple moments where her lines were mixed up but nothing that could really be noticed by somebody seeing the show for the first time. I actually prefered her voice to Ripley's. It was so clean and precise.

I was sitting front row and dead center. AMAZING! It just gave such a bigger impa

I'm excited to see it from a different point of view. (literally) I just hope that not being able to see some of the upper levels will keep me from being able to enjoy it as much. I'm either taking my friend or mom with me so I hope it doesn't bother them.
Anyone have questions for the cast of Catch Me If You Can?

"What occupation would you fake if you were Frank?"

I like that one!
I suck at interviewing and coming up with questions.

I saw the show last night and Ripley's voice wasn't too bad. It was really raspy and strained at times but then others it was spot on. The show was amazing though! The stand outs to me apart from Ripley's were Asa Somers and Emma Hunton. Asa captured the part of a father trying to hold things together brilliantly. And Emma played the part in a way that showed more anger. I really related with her character as I've gone through a lot of what she has and the performance gave the exact emotion
